A surprising number of us, everything is still very wary of "foreign
food". Despite claims that the curry is now both an English national dish
like roast beef or fish and chips, there are still many people who lose the
flavors that you dreamed existed. Our Indian cuisine is universally regarded as
bland and beyond the odd dash of mustard or strong, hot and spicy sauce root
easily qualities are not found in a traditional British meal.
Indian food and Chinese have gained wide acceptance as
the latest generations have grown up with their presence. Other spicy foods
that were popular in the United States, Mexico and Thailand, have taken more
time to settle in the UK. Mexican cuisine is still a novelty, but the Thai food
has seen an explosion of popularity in the last decade.
It is, perhaps, the universal
presence of rice, which misleads the uninitiated Brit assuming that all food in
South Asia is the same. This misconception, typical of British indifference
well, and ignorance of, exotic cultures, could not be further from the truth.
The four regional styles that make up Thai cuisine contain a variety of unique
and spectacular dishes. While the influence of Asian neighbors Thailand,
especially China, is present in some recipes, the richly structured native Thai
cuisine has evolved from a fusion of several influences. trade routes brought

Thai cuisine has elements in
common with food both Indian and Chinese, but offers advantages over both. The
aromatic flavors are more important and diverse as Chinese food, and most

It is beyond the scope of this
article to describe in detail the different flavors of Thai dishes. Thai
cuisine specializing in balanced flavors, sweet, sour, salty and bitter spicy,
and fresh herbs usually take precedence over strong spices, flavors may be less
intimidating than some fierce curries are in Indian cuisine . This does not
mean that Thai curry lack fire, but the heat of the seasoning may be more
ephemeral than Indian food and therefore the taste is soon free to enjoy the taste
of other dishes. The meal is rounded off with a reception often sweet or fruit

A Thai
meal is a visual experience as well as olfactory. The presentation of many
dishes is colorful and rich textures. The lure of food, rich flavors and
