In severe cases of immune diseases, the body may have small normal immune responses, where appropriate ,. These diseases of the immune system results in frequent recurrent infections. Acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) is a disease of the immune system that is hereditary or not congenital. HIV invades and inactivates certain immune cells called helper T cells.
