They love food!
He is everywhere. No matter where you are in Thailand, which are often within
walking distance of food. Restaurants, food vendors on carts with wheels,
mini-restaurants created on motorcycles with sidecar, food markets, food
stalls, food vendors, grocery stores, supermarkets ... You floating can always
find something to eat, regardless of the day or night time.
Have you ever asked the United States, if you like the kitchen? Have you ever
asked England if you like English food? If you indicate that you like spicy
food, you go up the ladder even more acceptance. But if you say that you really
do not care so much Thai food, people will be perplexed and wonder and even ask
why you came to Thailand then.
We only had 22
the annual festival of food here in Chiang Mai. There is a gigantic stage with
all kinds of entertainment, conferences, play groups, and dance performances.
Thais love a good party. The food is incredibly colorful and there seems to be
an endless variety of different dishes, mostly prepared before your eyes.
Thais do not eat
like Westerners. They have not dragged seated meal with starter, salad, main
course, dessert and coffee. Meals consist mainly of a plate of food that is
eaten not only quickly, but also prepared in no time.
Unlike western
restaurants where your meal order can take 20 or 30 minutes, Thailand most
dishes can be prepared literally within minutes. Thais do not eat big meals,
but often small meals throughout the day.
Thais are very
attached to their food, and they do not easily lead to international cuisine.
When traveling outside of Thailand often their biggest challenge is not to eat
Thai food.
Eating in Thailand is cheap, convenient and fun.
Imagine strolling, taking a glass of orange juice with a "pad thai"
quick pasta dish for $ 0.50, sampling a sweet spot, drink some fresh coconut
juice, eat cooked sweet potato baked or steamed black bean patty, straight
available on the street or in a market - within walking distance. No wonder
food is so important here!
