Items Prohibited in Detox and Alcohol Centers



Centers of drug and alcohol detoxification provide highly targeted treatment types that must necessarily prohibit a number of items to bring to their facilities. But because addicts and their families are often in a high state of anxiety in the provision of treatment and alcohol detox medications, some items may be brought for treatment are strictly prohibited. detoxification centers are not in the business of promoting the abuse of drugs or alcohol and will not allow their patients to do the same. Hats, shirts, jackets and other clothing that advertise drugs or alcohol consumption or passive consumption or actively glorifying is generally prohibited. Posters, photos, etc. that describe or celebrate abuse drink or drugs are not allowed.

For the same reason, most detox centers and other treatments do not allow their patients or residents actively glorifying drug abuse.

7.) Paraphernalia and Tools

Tackle and tools commonly used in the processes of substance abuse are strictly prohibited. This can include empty aluminum cans, aluminum foil, paper towel or empty toilet paper rolls, lighters, matches, tubes, needles and other items used to consume drugs or alcohol.

8.) Excessive Jewelry
