Lexus Financial Problems

Lexus is the luxury car division of Toyota Motor Corporation of Japan. Although originally designed for the US market, Lexus is now sold in 68 markets worldwide. Ironically, Lexus vehicles were not introduced in Japan until 2005, although most Lexus vehicles are produced in Japan. Lexus is the brand sold more luxury in the United States, a position he has held since 2000, when it passed the Cadillac brand from General Motors. The Lexus range consists of five models sedan, two convertibles and three SUV models. The sedans and HS are compact sedan to compete with the BMW 3 Series and Cadillac CTS. ES and GS models are midsize sedans that compete in general against the BMW 5 Series and Audi A6. The LS model is the flagship of the Lexus line, and compete with the BMW 7 Series and Mercedes S-Class convertible Both models produced by Lexus IS C and are the SC. These models are competing against the Cadillac XLR and Mercedes CLK.

The three models in each SUV were involved in different segments of the SUV market. The medium size GX competes with the BMW X5 and Mercedes GLK. Lexus has invested heavily in the development and production of hybrid versions of its vehicles; Lexus is producing hybrid versions of its GS, LS and RX models.
