Hyundai Sonata Takes Third In Mid-Size Segment

The US car market is one of the largest in the world, and trends in America set the tone for the rest of the world. The Korean manufacturer was an outsider compared to Japanese car brands, but it seems that this outsider might be able to surpass its competitors in the near future that their models are becoming increasingly popular.

The Detroit News reported that the Hyundai Sonata was the third best selling midsize sedan in the US in August and win the Nissan Altima for the coveted spot. Impressive Sonata sold only 1107 units less than the Honda Accord, which is in second place. If sales Sonata to continue to improve, then it is only a matter of time before it exceeds the Honda Accord and Toyota Camry is second. Sonata lower prices and better quality, it is likely that it will be a strong competitor against the Japanese. Now is the best time for a manufacturer like Hyundai to enter and dominate the Japanese manufacturers, which have long held these spots at the top of the US car market.
