Is A Gluten Free Ice Cream Cakes Diet Healthy?

Is a gluten-free diet healthy?

Gluten free ice cream cakes. Well, I just got Dr. OZ's video about gluten, the glutton diet and what he described as myths about the gluten diet. I think the goal of the segment was to discuss the fashion of a gluten-free diet as a way to lose weight and whether this is a healthy way to lose weight.

The first thing we have to discuss is: what is gluten?

Gluten is simply a protein found in grains. Wheat, barley, rye and malt seem the most problematic. But each of the grain products can be problematic for someone for different reasons. I will deal more in a later article.

The real question is whether you should follow a gluten-free diet. And the answer is that it can be. If you are sensitive or intolerant to gluten or have breakdown compounds or celiac disease, the answer is yes. If you are not intolerant / sensitive to gluten or have no celiac disease, the answer might be.

Perhaps it is because we now know from research that gluten can cause cross-reactions with other food sensitivities, and although you are not sensitive to gluten, food can make your other sensitivities worse.

So, how do you know if you are sensitive to gluten?

Well, Dr. OZ and his guest, Dr. Hyman, suggest that you do not consume gluten for two weeks, then add the gluten again and see how you feel. Although this seems an easy way to do it, and some people notice an improvement, others do it without feeling any change and they assume that they therefore have no problem with gluten.

  • 1. Too short in a period. I have many patients who do not see any changes until they have been gluten free for a long time.

  • 2. You may have something called "leaky gut syndrome".

Leaky bowel syndrome simply means that your intestinal tract has become too porous and makes things possible such as undigested food, bacterial toxins, etc. Enter the bloodstream. These undigested foods, such as rice proteins or egg proteins, can continue with an immune response, although they do not use gluten and no change is noticed. I and others recommend an autoimmune or anti-inflammatory diet if you try to see if your food makes you feel bad.

This diet consists of lean meats, fish, chicken, vegetables, fruit with lots of fiber (stone fruit), nuts, olive oil or coconut oil and drink water. It does not sound exciting, but it eliminates the most common food sensitivities and cross reactors.

If you want more information about the diet, send me an e-mail or send me a message. That is why you can feel better, notice no change for the above reasons, or a third result that can happen, and I see that this often happens when someone feels worse. So you eliminate gluten and you feel worse.

Now I feel not only sensitive to gluten, but I really need it to make me feel better. What I recommend to everyone is that if you are healthy and you feel good, have no chronic health problems, be careful, keep doing what you do. If you have chronic health problems, it may be the best investment you can make for gluten intolerance. But there are more problems here.

Which test do you run?

Most doctors do not know that a group of patients with celiac disease such as those in Drs. OZ is not sensitive enough to recognize many cases of gluten intolerance. If you have a complete celiac disease, this test may be OK. But if you do not have celiac disease (I will talk about the difference later), but you have gluten intolerance, you may not get a positive result. Last year a new lab opened its doors, called Cyrex Labs.

The Cyrex's Chief Scientific Consultant is Aristo Vojdani, PhD, MT and one of the world's leading immunologists. Cyrex Lab currently offers two unique tests that can determine the gluten sensitivity. But if Array 1 is positive, the game ends, no more gluten.

Array 3 is much more complex and easy to explain, but as a doctor I love the tests. As much as I like it, I do not use it as often as Array 1, because Array 3 needs a blood sample and can mean more effort for some people. At present, these tests are not covered by the insurance, but they are by far the best tests to identify gluten intolerance and the effects of gluten intolerance on the body.

So, who should get the gluten test?

I suggest that anyone with chronic health problems such as allergies, sinus problems, headaches, migraines, digestive problems and chronic pain should be tested if they are looking for the cause of these symptoms and are tired of treating them.
